(Thornton—Wednesday, November 11, 2015) Joseph Pastor, M.D., CCHP, psychiatrist and former Assistant Clinical Professor at the University Of Colorado School Of Medicine, has rejoined Community Reach Center as Chief Medical Officer.
Dr. Pastor will be responsible for supervising all medical and nursing providers with the aim to ensure all Community Reach Center clients receive appropriate evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, medical screenings, and quality psychiatric services.
“Dr. Pastor has received numerous awards and nominations for his dedication to mental health treatment, including the Colorado Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Society Service Award,” said CEO Rick Doucet. “His medical publications and past experience with Community Reach Center demonstrate a treatment philosophy that aligns well with Community Reach Center’s vision and an ability to lead our clinical teams to success.”
Dr. Pastor served as Community Reach Center’s Chief Clinical Director and Medical Director from 2002 through 2009.

Dr. Pastor is Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. Additionally, he was the Chief Mental Health Officer, Vice President for Behavioral Health and Regional Psychiatric Director for Corizon Health. He has extensive experience in academic, community and private sector health care systems and consults internationally on integrated health care and suicide prevention.
